Oklahoma legislator wants state oversite of kids’ fitness

If Oklahoma Rep. Richard Morrissette has his way, all homeschooled and public schooled students will have to have their weight and height checked by officials, and if a child is deemed as under- or over-weight, parents will be told to get Little Johnny or Little Suzy to get in shape … or else.

No Response from Champaign-Ford County School Authorities about infringements

The Champaign-Ford County Regional Office of Education sent a letter in September to a homeschooling family requesting a home visit. From the ROE Asst. Superintendent’s letter:
I would like to set up a time to come by and give you our packet and introduce myself.”

Bureau-Henry-Stark Counties: Homeschool Problems Resolved?

For those who don’t know about Dr. Bruce Dennison, he has been the Bureau-Henry-Stark County Regional Office of Education Superintendent for a long time. In 2002, he sent officers out to homeschool families’ homes in the area to inspect for “burden of proof” of proper homeschooling.
